Castle Wars

A mini-game in RuneScape, an MMORPG. Involves two teams in a Capture the flag game.

Layout

The Castle Wars layout is a follows

The lobby

The small room in the lower left of the map is the lobby. Here you can talk the the owner of the Arena to find out about the game, and you can also trade the tickets you get (from winning) with him to decorative armor. In the lower left of the lobby, you can get to the bank chest, which brings you to your bank account, where you can store the items that you don't want to take with out fighting.

The Castles

Join a team

To join a team, either enter the red (for Zamorak) or blue (for Saradomin). There is a possibility that if the portal you try to enter is full, and you cannot enter. However, if you enter the green (for Guthix) portal, you are included in the team with the least players.

Waiting area

Once you join a team, you wait in an underground cavern until the next game starts. If you need to leave, you can. Also, if you wear an item assosiated with a particular god in the opposite god's room you will be turned into either a sheep, rabbit or imp for the duration of you stay in the waiting room (you will be untransformed for the game.)

Tools

There are a number of special items that people can pick up while playing castle wars. These items are free and respawn imedietley. However, they dissapear once the game you are playing is over.

They are:

Bandages – Heal You (you may also use these to heal other people.)

Exploding Potions – Blow people or barricades up.

Barricades – Block the passage of people until they destroy it (a team can only have 10 set up at a time.)

Rocks – Used for the catpult.
