Cape Point

Cape Point in South Africa is higher (disputed — see talk page) than the Cape of Good Hope and about 1 km to its east. Both are situated in the Cape Point National Park. It consists of a major peak and a smaller peak about 100 m further south. The higher peak has a lighthouse on the top. A funicular railway runs from the car park up to slightly below the level of the lighthouse, and a short flight of steps leads to a viewing platform at the lighthouse's base. From the end of the railway a second path leads to the lower peak.
