Cancún International Airport

Cancún International Airport (IATA airport code: CUN) is located at Cancún, Quintana Roo at the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. Cancún International Airport is Mexico's third most important airport, after Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport and Guadalajara's Don Miguel Hidalgo International Airport, but handles more international operations than Mexico City's due to the fact that Cancun is a tourist destination, attractive to million of foreigners per year.

Cancun Airport is going through some expansions, incluiding the construction of a new runway and another satellite concourse in existing terminal 2, among others.

The airport is part of the "Riviera Maya Airports", together with Cozumel International Airport, Merida International Airport, Chetumal International Airport, Campeche International Airport, Isla Mujeres Airport, and Playa del Carmen Airport.

Cancún International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 serves all charter flights, while Terminal 2 and a connected satellite building serve all national and international flights.
