The Cabinet Office is a United Kingdom government department. Its traditional role is to support the Prime Minister and Cabinet (or Cabinet-level committees) by co-ordinating other government departments and collating the information they produce for decision-making purposes. Under the present Labour government it also supports the Prime Minister in ensuring delivery of the Government's strategy, particularly in the priority areas of education, health, transport and crime and asylum. It also is responsible for Her Majesty's Stationery Office.
