- Julian H.G. Byng, 1st Viscount Byng of Vimy (1862-1935), a British general during World War I and later Governor General of Canada during the King-Byng Affair. Became Baron Byng in 1919 and Viscount Byng in 1926.
- Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, awarded each year to the National Hockey League player player voted to have shown the best sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with performance in play. Named after the wife of the 1st Viscount Byng.
