Bridge of no return

Bridge of no return

Located in the village of Panmunjeom, the so-called "Bridge of No Return" crosses the Military Demarcation Line between North Korea and South Korea. It was used for prisoner exchanges in 1953. The name originates from the fact that South Koreans who chose to cross the bridge into the North would not be able to cross back into the South.
