Brain Busters

The Brain Busters with Bobby Heenan

The Brain Busters were a professional wrestling tag team in the 1980's.

History

The Brain Busters were formed minus the name when the original Four Horsemen were formed in January 1986. The Brain Busters were two of the Horsemen, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, and they teamed quite often in six-man matches.

When Ole Anderson left, Tully and Arn became the team and they won the NWA World Tag Team Championship twice.

In 1988, they left for the WWF and won the WWF World Tag Team Championship with Bobby Heenan as their manager. They left in December 1989 but had to split when Blanchard failed a drug test and the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions would not sign him back.

Opponents

The Brain Busters biggest feuds were against The Rock 'N Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson), the Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) and the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) in the NWA. In the WWF, they were against Demolition (Smash & Ax), "The Rockers" (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty) and The "Bushwackers" (Luke Williams & Butch Miller).
