Brad Avery (Third Day Band Member)
BIRTH NAME: Bradley Brent Christopher Avery BIRTHDAY: August 20, 1971 Brad grew up in a musical family, he started on the piano when he was five years old. His first guitar was a Silverstone accoustic and his first electric guitar was a Lotus Les Paul copy. At the age of twelve, he began growing fond of the music his older brothers were listening to and began to learn the songs by ear. After his first year of college he went on the road with Young American Showcase for 2 years and toured the country. After another year of college Brad moved to Atlanta, Georgia and met his wife Mindi. After waiting tables for a few months and playing guitar at church , Third Day opened up for Chris Carder (Brad played guitar for Chris) at a benefit concert. Eight months later, Third Day was looking to fill a slot and take their sound in a different direction. That's when he joined up for a try. The first solo he wrote was for Consuming Fire. When they played the song together for the first time, Third Day's sound of today was born. They knew immediately that it was a fit and the rest is history in the making. Glory to God.
