Box 13

Box 13 was a syndicated radio series starring Alan Ladd as mystery novelist Dan Holiday. To get ideas for his fiction, Holiday placed a newspaper advertisement: "Adventure wanted, will go anywhere, do anything – Box 13." The stories followed Holiday's adventures when he replied to letters received at Box 13. Sylvia Picker appeared as Holiday's scatterbrained secretary Suzy.

Mayfair Productions (Ladd and Mayfair Restaurants' Bernie Joslin) produced 52 episodes. The series premiered August 22, 1948, on New York's WOR.
