Bornem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Bornem proper, Hingene, Mariekerke and Weert. On January 1st, 2004 Bornem had a total population of 19,921 (9,872 males and 10,049 females). The total area is 45.76 km² which gives a population density of 435.35 inhabitants per km².
