Bog myrtle

The name Bog myrtle refers to a species of the genus Myrica, especially Myrica gale.

Bog Myrtle or Sweet Gale is a shrubby plant, five to eight feet tall. The flowers and leaves are used variously in perfumery and as a condiment and to repel insects. It is a traditional ingredient of Royal Wedding bouquets.
