Love and Theft is an album released September 11 2001 by Bob Dylan. Some think it is more upbeat than his old albums, but still includes his clever lyrics, his claim to fame. It was voted as the best album of the year in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll. The title is an allusion to Eric Lott's Love and Theft: Blackface Minstrelsy and the American Working Class.
