Blanc-de-Chine

A Blanc-de-Chine figure

Blanc-de-Chine is a type of Chinese porcelain, usually white, made at Dehua in the Fujian province from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) to the present day.

Wares includes crisply modelled figures, cups, bowls and joss stick-holders. Blanc-de-Chine was exported to Europe and copied in the 17th and 18th century.
