Beveren is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Beveren proper, Doel, Haasdonk, Kallo, Kieldrecht, Melsele, Verrebroek and Vrasene. On January 1st, 2004 Beveren had a total population of 45,243 (22,521 males and 22,722 females). The total area is 150.18 km² which gives a population density of 301.26 inhabitants per km².
