Bawls
Bawls is the brand name of a commercially available energy drink marketed mainly to computer gaming enthusiasts. It is especially popular at LAN parties, where participants drink it to help them stay awake for extended periods of time playing computer games. Bawls is made from the juice of the Guarana berry native to the Amazon rainforest of South America. The berry contains a particularly strong natural caffeine, which gives the drink its energy-boosting effect. According to its website, Bawls contains 80 mg caffeine per 12 oz (thus, 66.7 mg caffeine in a 10-oz bottle (1.2E-3 molar)), giving it about twice the caffeine concentration of Coca-Cola and a higher concentration than almost all mainstream soft drinks.
Bawls has a fruity, sweet taste (similar to Sprite or other soft drinks) rather than the more acquired taste of other energy drinks, such as Red Bull or Monster Energy.
Bawls can be found at most stores in the USA where soft drinks are sold. It can also be ordered online at (http://www.thinkgeek.com/caffeine/). It is packaged in a distinctive dark blue glass bottle with caffeine bubbles jutting from the glass. There is also a sugar-free version called Bawls Guaranexx, which comes in a clear bottle.
