Battlemasters

Battlemasters game by Milton Bradley is based on the Warhammer world by Games Workshop

The playing pieces are 30 mm citadel style (though of lesser quality) minatures which are mounted between 1 and 5 figures to an approximately 8 cm square base. The board is vinyl mat about 6 by 7 feet.

It is a two player game with one player taking the side of Good (equivalent of Warhammer's Empire) and the other Chaos (a mixture of Warhammer's Chaos, Orc's & Goblins and Undead)

The game play is simple, each side has a number of pieces and each piece has a attack value, defense value and number of hit points. A deck of cards is turned over one card at a time and the card defines which pieces of which team can move. Combat is decided by special attack and defence dice. Special rules apply for the cannon and the ogre.
