Bastion Host

A bastion host is a network entity that provides a single entrance / exit point to the Internet.

Bastion hosts are used to prevent hacking of a network by providing a barrier between private and public areas.

Typically a bastion host will be configured with a firewall and provide services like web servers, DNS servers and mail hubs. It may also include "victim hosts".
