Barrett M82A2
- This article or section should be merged with M82 (rifle).
The Barrett M82A2 is a lighter and more compact version of the M82A1, mainly because it is in the "bullpup" configuration (the magazine is behind the trigger), whereas the A1 model is in a conventional configuration. Another difference is the recoil is lighter than the first model because the recoil passes over the user's shoulder like a recoil-less rocket launcher.
Unlike its cousins, the M82A1 and M82A3, the M82A2's design failed to make an impression on the world firearm market. It was subsequently pulled from production.
