Barbacena
Barbacena is a city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
As of 2005, it has 115,000 inhabitants.
Barbacena was set up in the 18th century. At that time it was called Borda do Campo (Fields' Boarder). It is situated in the top of Mantiqueira Hills, and the climate is mild. Through the highway BR-040, Barbacena is far from the capital of the state, Belo Horizonte, 160 km and from Juiz de Fora 90 km.
Barbacena is the biggest producer of flowers in Minas Gerais, and the city is nicknamed "City of Roses".
