Barakah

In Arabic, barakah is spiritual wisdom and blessing transmitted from master to pupil. It is also described as "the greater good" derived from any act. Barakah also refers to the favorable result of any action with the blessing of Allah.

Baraka is used in contemporary French as synonym of "luck". A person who has the "baraka" can emerge unscathed from the most dangerous situation. This use of the term derives from the time of French colonisation in Algeria (1830–1962)
