Banco Nación

Banco Nación is a rugby club in Argentina; formally called Club Atlético Banco de la Nación Argentina (CABNA), it is based in Vicente López in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.

Banco Nación won the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Rugby Union, URBA) tournament in 1986 and 1989, as well as several rugby sevens tournaments. Hugo Porta, long-time captain of the Argentine national rugby union team, played in Banco Nación during the whole of his career; other recognized Pumas — such as Fabián Turnes, Pablo Hacha Dinisio, Fabio Aguja Gómez, and Rodolfo Capeltti began their careers with the team.

On July 20, 1991, Banco Nacióndefeated England's national squad in a surprise 21 to 11 victory.
