Balangiga, Eastern Samar

Balangiga is a municipality in the province of Eastern Samar in the Philippines. The municipality is well-known in history for being the site of the Balangiga Attack which triggered the Balangiga Massacre. This incident during the Philippine-American War remains one of the longest-running and most controversial issues between the Philippines and the United States.
