Typhlosion, known as Bakphoon (バクフーン Bakufūn) in the original Japanese, Tornupto in German, and Beulreibeom (블레이범) in Korean is a fictional character; a stage 2 fire-type Pokémon that evolves from Quilava at level 36.
Typhlosion has the highest total stats of the three fully evolved Gold/Silver/Crystal starter Pokémon (Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr)
Typhlosion is often compared with Charizard. Both have exactly the same stats. Some argue that Charizard's Fire/Flying type combo is an advantage over Typhlosion's pure-fire type, because it doubles the resistance against Grass-type and Bug-type attacks, adds an extra resistance against Fighting-type attacks, and an immunity from Ground-type attacks. Others find Typhlosion's pure fire-type superior because Charizard's Fire/Flying type combo doubles the weakness from Rock-type attacks, adds an extra weakness from Electric-type attacks, and cancels out the resistance against Ice-type attacks.
