Baedun hill
Baedun Hill (1962 – ) was a founding member of the Church of Wicca USA (CoW-USA) which sought to form an ecumenical congregational style to church organization and worship.
Baedun Hill was born in Maryland, attended school in Virginia, California, the Carolinas, and Spain. He formally founded the CoW-USA in the Carolinas in 1998. He stepped down from the leadership role as the first Chancellor in 2002.
Among the hallmarks of his ideal was that each congregation remain an autonomous local body. Since no congregation is required to answer to a higher body than themselves, Baedun Hill was able to eliminate much of what many perceived to be the concentration of authority and power in the organized church. Since 1998, the Church of Wicca USA has seen expansion throughout the United States.
