Az-Zahir Hakim

Az-Zahir Ali Hakim (born June 3, 1977 in Los Angeles, California) is a unrestricted free agent wide receiver in the NFL. He was released from the Detroit Lions a day after the conclusion of the 2005 NFL Draft, partly because of the acquisition of wide receiver Mike Williams.

College Career

     As a senior at San Diego State,Hakim caught 37 passes for 595 yards(16.1 yards per rec.).

NFL Days=

 Drafted 96th overall by the St. Louis Rams in the 1998 NFL Draft, Hakim spent four seasons in Saint Louis before being signed by the Lions as a free agent.  While playing in Saint Louis, Hakim did not start, but still received playing time, appearing in two Super Bowls, winning one (1999 against the Tennessee Titans).  After being signed by the Lions as a unrestricted free agent, Hakim started all but two games of the 2002 and 2003 seasons. In the 2004 season, Hakim did not get as much playing time due to injury, but still managed to score 3 receiving touchdowns.
