Avant (born in 1978 in Chicago, Illinois) is an African-American R&B singer. He is best known for hits such as "Separated" (the remix to which features Kelly Rowland), and "My First Love". He had a cameo appearance in the 2004 feature film Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
His hit C.D., "Private Room" with track like, "Don't take your love awa" and I can read your Mind were also a success on the charts.
