Austin City Limits Music Festival
The Austin City Limits Music Festival is a music festival in Austin, Texas, typically held in the end of September. The festival is run by Austin City Limits and Waterloo Music, and takes place in Zilker park, in Austin. The 2004 festival had 8 stages, and, on the second day of the festival, maxed out at 75,000 people. Some bands who have performed at the festival are : Old 97's, Broken Social Scene, Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, R.E.M., Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Los Lonely Boys, Sloan, Neko Case, Patty Griffin, Roseanne Cash, The Killers, and Trey Anastasio. Unlike the Television show, Austin City Limits, which is mainly known for country music, the Festival features more Indie Rock and Mainstream music. Tickets cost about $75.00, and are redeemed for armbands at the festival gate.
