Austin Cassidy
Austin Cassidy is an American political activist and co-founder of Conservative Pulse, a popular right-leaning online community.
In 2000, Cassidy ran a brief and heavily publicized campaign for the office of Superintendent of Schools in Nassau County, Florida against incumbent John Ruis. He dropped out of the race when offered a job opportunity that required him to relocate to California for a year.
Upon returning, Cassidy began attending the University of North Florida and became involved in the school's Student Government. He was elected to the Student Government Senate in 2003 and made a pair of unsuccessful bids for Student Body President in 2004 (147 votes or 7%) and again in 2005 (225 votes or 10%).
