Prince August Aleksander Czartoryski (b. 1697-1782) was a Polish noble (szlachcic), magnate, creator of the family fortune.

August became Major-General of Polish Army since 1729, voivode of Ruthenian Voivodship since 1731, General Starost of Podole in 1750-1758 and Knight of Malta. Starost of Warsaw, Koscierzyna, Lubochnia, Kałusz, Latowicz, Lucyn, Wąwolnica, Kupiski and Pieniań.

He supported Stanisław I Leszczyński during the War of the Polish Succession in 1733. In the reign time of August III together with his brother Michał leader of the "Familia". During the interregnum in 1763-1764 he strove for the Polish crown for himself, later for his son Adam Kazimierz. In 1764-1766 Marshal of the General Confederatio (konfederacja generalna), since 1764 Regimentarz of the Crown. He was a supporter of political reforms in the Republic, opponent of the Confederation of Radom.
