Audio stream input output

Audio Stream Input Output is a protocol for low-latency digital audio specified by Steinberg

Steinberg was bought by Pinnacle Systems in 2003, and since then, it appears to have stopped supporting ASIO. The development kit (SDK) is still available to download, and is supported by a number of soundcard drivers, including MAudio. They were then bought by Yamaha in late 1994 after years of joint development.
