Asylum Records
Asylum Records was started in 1971 by David Geffen. The label was acquired by Warner Communications and merged with Elektra Records in 1972. In 1975 David Geffen resigned as director to go into the movie business. Asylum stopped opperating in 1989, but was re-activated in 1992 as a country label
