Anubis The Band

Featuring: Jonathan Landers – Vocals, Guitar Calogero Anello – Bass Matt Rossberg – Drums

A locally heralded three-piece punk-rock act from the inner city projects of Staten Island, Anubis was formed as a musical vehicle to express the anguish and grief of white suburbia. Landers' heartfelt vocals are complemented by Matt Rossberg's percussionary precision and Fettucini Alfredo's groovy bass lines. Their most critically acclaimed (and only) album is Trip The Light Fantastic, an allusion to something drug-related. The group recently performed a series of reunion shows during a short tour in NYC's underground punk circuit. Their most ardent fans (i.e., Kazuma Hashimoto, Jonathan Cohen, Kyle Watkins) are still hopeful that Jon Landers will revive the group and begin recording mellow yet catchy tunes once again.
