Ancaster—Dundas—Flamborough—Aldershot

Ancaster—Dundas—Flamborough—Aldershot is the name of a former federal and current provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada. Its population was 104,775 (as of 2001).

Geography

The electoral district is located to the west and north of the city centre of Hamilton, Ontario. It includes the former towns of Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, and Aldershot.

While it has been Liberal federally for a number of years it is a fairly conservative riding. It was one of the Ontario ridings the Conservative Party of Canada would most like to pick up in the 2004 Canadian election.

History

The riding was renamed to Ancaster—Dundas—Flamborough—Aldershot in 2000.

In 2003 the riding was dissolved into Ancaster—Dundas—Flamborough—Westdale, Burlington, Hamilton Centre, Hamilton Mountain, and Niagara West—Glanbrook.
