Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Pi (ΑΔΠ) is the first-ever sorority, founded May 15 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. The Executive office for this sorority is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

The original name of the sorority was "The Adelphean Society". The first Greek letter name was Alpha Delta Phi (ΑΔΦ), but because of a conflict with a male fraternity the name was later changed to Alpha Delta Pi.

The open motto for this sorority is "We Live for Each Other." This sorority's colors are azure blue and white, and its flower is the woodland violet. The mascot is a lion, nicknamed Alphie. Alpha Delta Pi currently has 132 chapters in the United States and Canada, and its national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House.
