Alonzo Quijana
Alonzo Quijana was a poor unknown hidalgo from somewhere in La Mancha in Spain who gained fame by assuming the name of Don Quixote de la Mancha and the persona of a knight-errant. He was inspired by reading countless tales of chivalry. Cervantes tells of his crazy adventures with his squire Sancho Panza in what many consider to be the greatest novel of all time.
