Alegranza

Alegranza is an island situated in the Atlantic Ocean located to the coast of Africa and is in the province of Las Palmas next to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands, an autonomous region of Spain. The island is part of Parque Natural de Archipiélago Chinijo (Lanzarote), a reserve of Los Islotes

The area is 10.2 km², there are no inhabitants on the island.

Information

The lighthouse of Punta Delgada is located in the eastern part of Alegranza. The island was part of the Bien de Interés Cultural on December 20, 2002.

Municipality

The islan is part of the municipality of Teguise on Lanzarote.
