Aionious is a Greek term, seen in translations of the Bible as "everlasting." Its meaning is argued by Universalist Christians, to mean something less than an endless amount of time. This is due to the root word aion, meaning age, and the fact the theory of the terms etymology is backed by historical documents of its early usage.
