Agnes Barley

Agnes Martin Barley (born 1970 in Jacksonville, Florida), is a minimalist abstract painter.

In 2002, she met the recently widowed playwright Arthur Miller, who had become prominent decades before she was born, and politely expressed surprise that he was still alive; they soon embarked on a romantic relationship, living together in Connecticut until his death in 2005.
