After War

The After War is the timeline that the anime Gundam X and its sequel take place in. This "alternate universe" of Gundam is noted for its distinct apocalyptic world, however, at the same time, it has many similarities with the original Universal Century. After War is the only timeline, besides the original one, to feature Newtypes as an important element and the Earth Federation.

With the cancellation of the Gundam X TV series, it was expected that this timeline would never stage any other Gundam stories. However, to tie in with the release of the Gundam X DVD boxset in Japan, the manga Gundam X: Under the Moonlight was released in the Gundam manga anthology, Gundam Ace. Ironically, it had unexpected success, and was given an extension past its originally limited run of six chapters.

Chronology

Before the War

The Earth Federation disassembled the first newtype to a genetic level, and stored his physical remainings in a base at the moon. That is D.O.M.E.

1st month of the Seventh Space War

The movement for independence of Cloud 9 becomes an all out war between Earth Federation and the colonies. The Space Revolutionary Army is formed. The war would go on a stalemate for eight months.

8th month of the Seventh Space War

The operation Lilac of the SRA failed, with the destruction of 5 Bertigos and the giant Mobile Armor Patulia. However, Dr. Doratto, the one behind the operation, manages to escape alive.

As a result, the Space Revolutionary Army is forced to start a colony drop plan in order to end the stalemate.

12th month of the Seventh Space War

With the deployment of the Gundams by the Federation, and the destruction of the collony, the SRA is driven to desperation. They start a massive colony drop, and demand the Federation to surrender, however, the Federal Forces decide to fight to the end.

The Gundams are not able to stop the operation, and Earth is virtually destroyed. 90% of the humanity perishes during the Seventh Space War. The Earth Federation is dissolved.

After War

Janmil Naete, ace pilot of the Federation, who was known as "The Hero" during the 7th Space War, and piloted the Gundam X during many important battles, gets the land battleship Freeden, and becomes a Vulture.

0015, April

The Newtype Tiffa Adil, who was being studied by the Alternative Company, is rescued by Janmil.

Tiffa, taken away from the Freeden by Garrod Ran, registers a Gundam X in the Satellite System Control.

The Lab of the Alternative Company is attacked by a group of Vultures and destroyed.

0015, May

The Patulia is finally activated, causing great damage to Fort Serven. However, it is destroyed by the Freeden.

0015, July

The New Earth Federation creates the GX-9900-DX Gundam Double X, but it is stolen by Garrod Ran. Shortly after, the artifical island, Zonda Epta, is completely destroyed by a blast from the Twin Satellite Cannon.

0015, August

The New Earth Federation reveals its existance to the whole world. At the same time, the New Earth Federation starts a series of military campaigns to unify the world, attacking small contries everywhere.

0015, September

Satelycon, an anti-SRA movement, has its base discovered and destroyed by a massive attack of the SRA forces, in preparation for Operation Daria.

The Gundam DX destroys the Colony Laser, stopping Operation Daria.

0015, October

A new war between the Space Revolutionary Army and the Earth Federation starts near the moon base.

A cease fire is declared after the death of the leaders of both sides, and the destruction of the moon base.

0016, April

Third peace conference.

0024

The tensions between both sides rise again, and a new war might start.
