Aero Asia International

Aero Asia International is the first low cost airline in Pakistan. It started operations on 6 May, 1993 from Karachi and has two main operating bases: Jinnah International Airport at Karachi and Dubai International Airport. It is a subsidiary of the Tabani Group of companies.

Aero Asia International provides the following services (at February 2005):

- Al-Ain to Peshawar
- Doha to Lahore and Peshawar
- Dubai to Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Peshawar
- Faisalabad to Dubai and Karachi
- Islamabad to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Karachi and Lahore
- Karachi to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Muscat and Peshawar
- Lahore to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Karachi and Muscat
- Multan to Dubai and Karachi
- Muscat to Karachi and Lahore
- Peshawar to Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain, Doha, Dubai and Karachi
Fleet
The airline started operations with BAC One-Elevens and a leased Boeing 707 and Yak-42s. Later the fleet consisted of McDonnell Douglas DC-9-51s and Boeing 737-200s. The Boeing 737–200 it did operate was disposed of by December 2004.
Aero Asia International has acquired a McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (ex Alitalia) and expects to receive 3 similar aircraft during 2005 (ref:Airliner World, March 2005).
