Adlai E. Stevenson High School, located in Lincolnshire, Lake County, Illinois, is one of the largest schools in its state and is well known as one of the highest academically ranked schools in the nation. The U.S. Department of Education awarded the Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence in Education to Stevenson in 1987, 1991, 1998 and 2002, making it the only school in Illinois to receive four such awards. Both Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report ranked Stevenson among the top 100 high schools within the United States.

In The News
In the March 30, 1998, edition of Newsweek magazine, Stevenson was named one of the top 100 schools (#16) in the United States. Stevenson was the highest rated Illinois school in the Newsweek study. Stevenson was also selected by Redbook magazine as one of "America's Best High Schools" in 1992, 1994, and 1996.
