• a slang term for a drug also called LSD or D-Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (C₂₀H₂₅N₃O). It is a powerful synthetic hallucinogen and psychedelic entheogen originally derived from ergot fungus.
• a form of electronic music that is most easily described as the sound made by a Roland TB-303 music synthesizer, and is where the term Acid House originates. It is a very important term in electronic music, often confused with the LSD reference.
