Abner Nash
Gov. Abner Nash
Abner Nash (1740 — 5 December 1786) was governor of the U.S. state of North Carolina between 1781 and 1782. Although born in Virginia, Nash moved to North Carolina at the age of 23 and became a member of the North Carolina General Assembly before being elected governor. During his brief tenure as governor, North Carolina saw some of its worst conflicts as a battleground in the American Revolutionary War.
