Aaron J. Fink
Aaron J. Fink, M.D., (d. 1990) was a California urologist who believed that male neonatal circumcision was ordained by the Bible and medically necessary.
Fink authored Circumcision: A Decision for Life, in which he outlined his arguments in favour of circumcision. He also promoted the theory that circumcision could prevent HIV infection, although he had no medical evidence to support that hypothesis at the time. Subsequent medical research on the issue has investigated the issue further. Most studies have found a reduced risk for HIV infection among circumcised men, although a few have found no correlation,[1] or even slightly increased risk. A systematic review and meta-analysis of the studies in the literature[2] concluded that circumcision is associated with significantly reduced risk.
