Ninth Avenue (Manhattan)

Ninth Avenue is a north-south thoroughfare on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. Traffic runs downtown (southbound) only. Ninth Avenue begins at West 57th Street as a continuation of Columbus Avenue, and runs through the Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea neighborhoods before terminating just south of West 14th Street at Gansevoort Street in the West Village.

Columbus Avenue, the roadway that becomes Ninth Avenue, runs south from 110th Street to 57th Street. North of 110th Street, the roadway is named Morningside Drive and runs along the western edge of Morningside Park. Morningside Drive begins at 122nd Street.
