8t88 is one of the characters in the game Jedi Knight. As the game starts, 88 tells Kyle Katarn (the main character) that he has a holodisc discovered in the Katarn household. 88 then leaves Kyle without handing over the disc, and the cutscene at the end of the level depicts Kyle getting a lucky shot at 88's shoulder, thus severing it and dropping it into the bowels of Nar Shadaa. Later in the game, Kyle again encounters 88, this time standing watch over a stone map to the Valley of the Jedi, stolen from Katarn's fater's workshop on Sulon. 88 escapes with all four limbs intact, and the map is destroyed by Yun (the first of the seven Dark Jedi). Somehwat later, Kyle again encounters 88. However, it transpires that 88's head has been removed, and after a short battle against Pic and Gorc (two more Dark Jedi), Kyle downloads the map to the Valley of the Jedi from 88's severed head
