60 Echo is a quite large Main belt asteroid. It is a S-type asteroid, its surface is bright in color and it is probably a mixture of iron-nickel metals and silicate rock.

Echo was discovered by James Ferguson on September 14, 1860. It was his third and final asteroid discovery. It is named after Echo, a nymph in Greek mythology.
