Test results (taken from hkpro.com)

same numbers for 5.7mm are 230mm, 140 J and 65 J

The round was designed as a competitor to the 5.7mm round developed by FN, but something is to said of the stopping power of the round when compared to the stopping power of the 5.7mm.

In head to head comparison 4.6 x 30 to 5.7mm ammo is faster and offers better long range and piercing capabilities, but lacks in shock-generating capabilities, as it is intended rather for specialized military use.
