1924 Atlantic hurricane season
The 1924 Atlantic hurricane season was an ongoing event in the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It officially began on June 1, 1924 and ended on November 30, 1924.
The 1924 season was an average season with 8 storms, of which 3 became hurricanes and 2 became major hurricanes. An early Tropical Storm hit Belize on June 18th and Mexico on June 21. Two Hurricanes formed in August that followed a similar path; forming in the Tropical Atlantic, hitting the Lesser Antiles, go west of Bermuda, become extratropical, and hit Nova Scotia. A hurricane and a tropical storm hit Florida in September, a hurricane hit near Marco Island, Florida in October, and a Tropical Storm hit Jamaica and Cuba in November.
