- April 20: The Boston Red Sox open in the new Fenway Park with a 7–6, 11-inning win over the New York Highlanders before 27,000. Minutes later, the Detroit Tigers opens remodeled Navin Park (later renamed Tiger Stadium), and beats the Cleveland Indians 6–5 in 11 innings before 24,384.
- The Winnipeg Maroons win the Northern League Championship.

- Triangular Test tournament played between England, Australia, and South Africa in England. England won, Australia second.
